St Werburghs...

Saint Werburghs homestead and chapel are set amongst the beautiful rolling hills of the shire of Plantagenet in the great southern region of WA. I was lucky enough to spend a few days staying on this magnificent property.
The property has been in the family for 7 generations and the homestead and outlying buildings have been lovingly restored by my gorgeous friend Jenny and her husband.

The original oak and elm trees in the garden are enormous and were planted when the family settled here in 1840, they tower over the spring and summer bulbs and give much respite from the harsh summer heat.

The homestead has beautiful views down the valley towards one of the oldest consecrated chapels in WA. Many family members are buried in the tiny graveyard adjacent to the chapel.

Have a lovely week. Andrina x
