This bus stop on St Georges Terrace in Perth has been decorated to reflect the WA Princely Treasures exhibition.Stephano Carboni, director of the Art Gallery of WA was behind the fabulous revamp."We wanted to engage people in an unexpected way to bring the exhibition to life."
The bus shelters of my youth were all drab grey concrete, there are only a few left in my area however they always make me smile as I drive past. Firstly because they have been beautifully painted by local artists and school children and secondly because of the memories that they conjure up of my childhood.
Fabulous memories of girls telling each other secrets, hunky boys having a smoke, or that heady moment when the cool guy says "hi" or perhaps smiles at you.
Many secrets have been shared, parties organised or relationships started at the bus stop...if only they could talk!
